A couple in Buckingham contacted us about refacing their fireplace. They had just bought the house and were renovating it. The previous owners had decided to paint the stone that was on the fireplace. We came in removed the old mantle and reframed the fireplace . The stone above the mantle was originally stepped back. So we re-framed the front to make all the new stone flush. We installed wire mesh and gave it a scratch coat. The homeowners chose a stacked stone . That means no mortar joints. The stone is an Eldorado brand and the name is Clearwater Rustic Ledge. We cut all stone on a 45 degree angle where it met the wall to give it a seamless finish. We supplied a finished piece of red oak as the mantle and finished it with a semi-gloss
